These water deionizers will filter up to 560 gallons of water at 200 PPM total dissolved solids before you need to replace the resin. The key is On the Go’s high-grade resin inside the tank. It is able to efficiently remove hard minerals from your water supply for easy automobile cleaning.
 
About The Standard Head Model OTG4CCCMD
The On the Go/ California Car Cover water deionizer connects to your household water supply. The standard model does not include the bypass valve, so you would be using filtered water for the entire wash and rinse process or need a secondary water supply for the initial wash. The deionizer with standard head measures 9" in diameter by 22" in height. The unit contains 1/2 cubic feet of high grade virgin mixed bed resin, and is easy to hook up or remove depending on your application. The unit comes complete with the deionizer, 4' high pressure hose, a hand-held TDS meter, and a cap/plug for the inlet/outlet.

  • What is the Capacity?

    The capacity of deionization systems is primarily determined by the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in the water source. TheTDS can be measured by using the meter provide. The TDS can range from 0-1000 PPM plus but will typically fall between 100-400 PPM. Thefrequency for recharging is dependent on the quality of the water source and the gallons use per application.

  • When Do You Need to Replace the Resin?

    When the TDS meter indicates the resin needs replacing simply refill with On The Go’s high-grade virgin mixed-bed resin for continued performance. See below for recommended ranges:

                            Typical limits or ranges for spot-free:

    • Less than 15 PPM for collector cars, classics, antiques, and high-end vehicles
    • Between 15-50 for most applications
    • 20 applications If the car is black and has a high degree of stainless
    • 45 applications if the car is white
    • Do not recommend greater than 50 ppm
